As easy it is to claim life insurance policies, it is much more difficult to claim life insurance. Many people either do not claim due to lack of information or their claim gets rejected. In today's post, I am going to tell you step by step how you can claim a life insurance and also what documents are required for it.

Step 1 

FIR and Medical Report If the death of the deceased is not a natural death then you should immediately file an FIR and keep a copy of it and if the death has occurred in the hospital

then you should keep the medical report because when you claim insurance then you will have to submit a copy of the FIR and medical report as well

Step 2 

Making a claim It is very important to launch a claim after death. The best way to do this is to call on the company's number and inform them that you can claim insurance within 180 days after death

But you should claim as soon as possible because the more you delay, the more trouble you will have to face

Step 3

You will have to prepare some documents to claim

1. Application form You can write this form on a plain paper

2. LIC insurance form This form is given by the company

3. Death certificate

4. Police Report if there is an accident or crime

5. Hospital report or postmortem report if the death is due to any disease or accident or crime

6. Nominee documents in which bank passbook, ID card and an Aadhar card will have to be given

7. Last insurance premium receipt Receipt of the last insurance installment

8. Insurance policy bond paper This bond paper is given first while getting insurance

Step 4

After preparing these documents, you have to submit these documents to the company by attaching the application form

Here you have to keep one thing in mind that the name of the deceased should be the same otherwise you may have a lot of problems

Verification After you submit the claim documents, some people from the company will come to verify them. After verification, you get the claim money within 50 days.
